Tasty sandwiches, yummy cakes, delicious tea and adorable dogs… Now this sounds like a perfect tea party! If you’re like us and love dogs and wish you could attend a tea party surrounded by cute canines – we have great news…
Not only are Metrodeco happy to host pooch parties but if you can’t own a pup right now or your dog is in need of some pals to party with, BorrowMyDoggy in Brighton might be able to help. The platform is dedicated to connecting dog owners with dog borrowers for walks, weekends or happy holidays – and the community in Brighton is going strong.
So now you have the guest list underway, we’ve found six great occasions to throw a doggy tea party for – read on to find out more.
What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a doggy tea party? Whether it’s your birthday, a family member or friend’s birthday or even your dog’s birthday, it’s a great way to spend the day. Bring some friends of both the human and canine kind and you’ll have yourself a party!
If you’re a student tackling university stress or if your work is impacting your mental health and the thought of spending an afternoon in the company of pups sounds like heaven, why not have a dog de-stress party?
All you need is a bunch of doggies and some delicious food and you’ll be feeling tip top soon enough. According to Psychologies Magazine “spending time with a dog can make you a happier person”…so it’s a perfect excuse!
BorrowMyDoggy speed dating / thank yous
If you’ve already signed up to BorrowMyDoggy but are yet to meet your pawfect pal (furry or otherwise), why not contact some local members and arrange to meet at Metrodeco? Meeting in person is a great way to get to know local members and to see if you can come to a borrowing arrangement that works for everyone. And the staff at Metrodeco will make your four legged guests feel more than comfortable.
For dog owners who already have some great borrowers, how about a thank you tea party so borrowers can get to know each other in the presence of the dog that’s brought them all together? Lovely!
Socialisation / puppy party
Dogs Trust says, “if you want a happy and friendly dog that you can take anywhere and meet anyone, then early socialisation is the key”. A party to meet some fellow local dogs and friendly people is a great way to socialise both younger and older dogs. Another ‘pawsome’ idea is to party with dogs of similar breeds and ages too.
Charity cake bakes, a doggy ‘best in show’ or best dressed competition are some great ways to raise some money for your favourite charity. And having the fundraiser as a dog themed party would be a great incentive to attend and donate some cash!
We hope you’ve had some inspiration for throwing your very own doggy tea party. For enquiries please call/email Metrodeco on 01273 677243. If you’re intrigued about dog borrowing, you can check out BorrowMyDoggy in Brighton online or get in touch with their dog loving help team.
